Transmitting data over fiber at distances up to 20 km, this transceiver offers low jitter performance for extended optical link support without degradation in performance. BiDirectional Technology
The DEM-220R combines transmit and receive signals onto one fiber strand using two wavelengths, significantly reducing fiber infrastructure costs. This transceiver uses a 1310nm wavelength to transmit data and 1550nm to receive. Must be used in pairs with the complementary DEM-220T transceiver, which uses the opposite wavelengths (Tx 1550nm/Rx 1310nm).
Hot-Swap Capability
All D-Link transceivers are hot-pluggable, allowing network administrators to connect a transceiver while the system is powered on without causing any issues, and easily swap one for another without having to reboot the switch each time.
