The D-Link Safeguard Engine defends against traffic flooding from virus attacks, while 802.1X port-based authentication verifies users through external RADIUS servers. Additional protections include ARP Spoofing Prevention to block man-in-the-middle attacks, DHCP Server Screening to prevent rogue DHCP servers, and IP-MAC-Port Binding (up to 512 entries) to lock down network access at the port level.
