Standalone or Chassis-Based Installation
Start with a single standalone unit complete with its own metal housing and external AC power adapter. As your network grows, the DMC-F810SC can be installed into the DMC-1000 Media Converter Chassis (sold separately), which supports up to 16 media converters in a single rack-mountable unit. The housing is easily removable, allowing the converter module to slide into any chassis slot where it's powered by the chassis power supply.
