Built-In Heater for Winter Reliability
The WS90 includes a built-in heating plate that can be activated with an optional 12V power supply (sold separately) to melt snow and ice on the wind sensor during winter months, ensuring accurate measurements even in freezing conditions. The heating function is especially recommended for areas with temperatures below 0°C (32°F).
Easy Installation & Calibration
Mount the WS90 on any standard 25mm (1 inch) diameter pole (not included) using the included mounting ring. The device features a north direction alignment indicator for accurate wind direction readings. Device offset settings in the Shelly app ensure measurements aren't skewed by surroundings like walls or heat sources. Long-range wireless transmission up to 150m (500 ft) with obstacles or up to 300m (1,000 ft) in open space means flexible placement options around your property.
