MakerBot PETG Red Specialty Filament 0.75kg for METHOD Printers

    Description

MakerBot PETG Red Specialty Filament for METHOD 3D Printers

Print high-performance parts with the MakerBot PETG Red Specialty Material (375-0028A), engineered specifically for MakerBot METHOD and METHOD X 3D printers. PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) combines the best qualities of PLA and ABS, delivering excellent durability, temperature resistance, moisture resistance, and chemical resistance for industrial-grade applications including functional prototypes, jigs, fixtures, and end-use parts.

    Why Choose PETG Specialty Material?

PETG is rapidly becoming the material of choice for engineers and designers who need durable prints that can withstand demanding industrial environments. With its glossy finish and transparent qualities, PETG is ideal for prototyping liquid containers, research lab equipment, and chemical-resistant components. This specialty material provides more flexible strength than ABS while being environmentally friendly and recyclable.

    Key Features

    • High Durability: 8.1 kJ/m² Impact Strength (ISO 179) for tough, long-lasting parts
    • Temperature Resistance: 70°C (158°F) Heat Deflection Temperature (ASTM 648)
    • Chemical & Moisture Resistance: 1104 ppm moisture absorption (ISO 62), resistant to acidic and alkaline compounds
    • Smart Spool Technology: RFID chip communicates material type, color, and remaining amount to MakerBot Print software
    • Optimized for METHOD Printers: Compatible with METHOD and METHOD X using Material Extruder 1 or Support Extruder 2
    • Premium Packaging: Vacuum-sealed metalized polyester bag with built-in desiccant maintains low moisture levels

    Industrial Applications

Engineers and designers use PETG Specialty Material to produce durable prints with speed and agility for a wide range of professional applications:

    • Functional prototypes requiring chemical resistance
    • Jigs and fixtures for manufacturing workflows
    • End-use parts for industrial environments
    • Liquid containers and bottle prototypes
    • Research lab equipment and chemical-resistant components

    Smart Spool Technology

Every spool features Smart Spool technology with an RFID chip that wirelessly transmits material information directly to MakerBot Print software. The integrated desiccant maintains optimal moisture levels inside the printer's drawer bay, ensuring consistent print quality from first use to last.

    Printing Requirements

PETG is a Specialty Material that provides basic print performance and may require additional workflow steps for successful printing. For best results, apply adhesion stick to the build plate prior to printing. Pairs perfectly with PVA support material for complex geometries.
