DirectScan: Scan Without a PC
The DirectScan function allows users to scan documents and send them directly to up to 25 preset destinations including email recipients, network folders, and FTP servers, all without connecting to a computer. Simply select your destination from the touchscreen, preview your scans as thumbnails, verify filenames and sizes, and send. It's the perfect replacement for traditional fax machines and ideal for shared office environments where multiple users need quick, hassle-free scanning.

Equipped with dual CIS sensors and Ricoh's Clear Image Capture (CIC) technology, the fi-8040 produces exceptionally clean images at 600 dpi optical resolution.
