Advanced Bluetooth Connectivity
The Shelly BLU MOTION uses Bluetooth BLE 4.2 with the BTHome protocol and AES-CCM encryption for secure, reliable communication. Operational range is up to 30 metres outdoors and up to 10 metres indoors (depending on local conditions). Connect it to any Shelly Plus, Pro, or Gen3 device to use as a gateway, or pair it with the Shelly BLU Gateway for extended range and integration with your broader smart home network.
The sensor supports two operating modes: Regular mode, which broadcasts status changes as they happen, and Beacon mode, which transmits updates every 30 seconds for continuous monitoring.
Long-Lasting & Reliable Performance
Its low-power CPU ensures remarkable battery efficiency, with regular use extending battery life up to 5 years. The compact, lightweight design (just 26 grams) includes an adhesive wall sticker for easy, tool-free installation anywhere you need motion detection. Operating reliably in temperatures from -20°C to 40°C, this sensor is suitable for Australian homes, offices, warehouses, and outdoor covered areas.
