SoundCap Eye Technology
The CS-500 unifies three of Yamaha's proprietary technologies to optimize video conferencing:

Face Focus Beamforming: The 4K camera tracks faces of participants using AI and limits audio beams to these locations, picking up conversations while reducing distracting noise around you

Self-Silence: Using Yamaha's Human Voice Activity Detection (HVAD) technology, the CS-500 automatically mutes the microphone when conference participants are not speaking, eliminating unnecessary background sound

Self-Volume Balancer: Automatically adjusts the speaker volume of the connected display according to ambient noise to keep an appropriate volume level at all times
Advanced 4K Camera with Smart Framing
The built-in 8-megapixel 4K camera features a 120-degree field of view and focus range from 0.5 meters to infinity. The Smart Framing function recognizes people in the room who are speaking and automatically frames the video signal for remote participants with three modes: Group, Speaker, and Individual. Maximum zoom ratio is 5x, with framing controllable either automatically or via manual PTZ buttons on the remote control.
Hexa-Microphone Array
Six MEMS microphones are arranged in a hexagonal array that creates a 3-dimensional microphone beam, more accurately capturing words spoken during conversations compared to normal video sound bars. Microphone pickup covers an angle of 120 degrees up to a maximum distance of 6 meters (19.6 feet) when face focus beamforming is OFF, or 3 meters (9.8 feet) when ON. Frequency response: 100 Hz to 16 kHz.
Audio Processing
Advanced DSP includes adaptive echo cancellation, noise reduction, automatic tracking, automatic gain control, automatic room EQ, and dereverberation for crystal-clear audio in any environment.
Easy Launch and Universal Connectivity
The CS-500 recognizes users entering the room and can automatically wake up the display via HDMI-CEC. All functionalities (audio, camera, and display via DisplayLink) connect to your laptop with just one USB cable. Compatible with all popular UC software platforms including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and more.

Multifunction Remote Control
