Yamaha RM-CG ADECIA Ceiling Array Microphone with Multi-Beam Tracking and Dante
The Yamaha RM-CG is an advanced beamforming ceiling array microphone designed for conference rooms, classrooms, and multipurpose spaces. Part of the ADECIA conferencing solution, it features four auto-tracking beams that dynamically follow multiple speakers simultaneously, ensuring crystal-clear voice capture even in challenging acoustic environments. With Dante audio networking and PoE+ connectivity, the RM-CG simplifies installation by using a single Cat 5e or Cat 6 cable for both power and data transmission.
Multi-Beam Tracking Technology
The RM-CG's innovative Multi-Beam Tracking technology scans for human voices and forms up to four beams simultaneously to track speakers in real-time. This ensures natural conversation capture whether participants are seated, standing, or moving around the room.
-
Dynamic Voice Tracking: Automatically detects and follows active speakers without manual adjustment
-
Customizable Tracking Zones: Pre-set beam-tracking areas using the web UI to optimize audio pickup
-
Human Voice Activity Detection: Intelligently blocks background noise and focuses on speech
Advanced Audio Processing
Yamaha has integrated several sophisticated audio technologies to ensure maximum voice intelligibility:
-
Adaptive Echo Canceller: Constantly scans the environment to deliver echo-free audio streams
-
Automatic Gain Control: Sets optimal gain for each voice automatically
-
Noise Reduction: Removes environmental noise like projector fans and air conditioning
-
Dereverberation: Mitigates the effect of windows, bare walls, and reflective surfaces
-
Parametric EQ: Fine-tune audio response for your specific room acoustics
Professional Dante Connectivity
The RM-CG features Dante audio networking with 1 in/2 out channels, enabling seamless integration into professional AV systems. A single PoE+ (IEEE 802.3af) connection provides both power and audio/control signals, eliminating troublesome wiring.
-
Network Audio: Dante audio/control via RJ-45 connection
-
PoE+ Powered: Single cable for power and data (Cat 5e or higher recommended)
-
Low Latency: 22 ms in low-latency mode, 58 ms including full signal processing
-
Web UI: Configure and control the microphone via any web browser
Flexible Installation Options
The RM-CG supports three mounting methods to accommodate various ceiling configurations:
-
Ceiling Mount: Standard mounting for solid ceilings
-
Wire Mount: Suspend from wires in drop ceiling installations
-
VESA Mount: Compatible with VESA mounting brackets for versatile placement
ADECIA System Integration
When paired with the Yamaha RM-CR Remote Conference Processor (sold separately), the RM-CG enables automatic detection and configuration, streamlining setup and optimizing audio for your room environment.
-
Auto Design & Setup: System automatically detects components and configures devices
-
Voice Lift: Enables clear communication in large spaces using ceiling speakers
-
Camera Tracking: Provides voice tracking data to compatible camera systems
